However, sometimes, these expensive products will not provide you with the results you have been looking for. Also, they can harm your health instead, due to their chemical content. Thus, you need to make your own natural cream that will give you all the nutrients your skin needs.

This brings us to today’s reason for writing this article and that is to present you a recipe with only two ingredients- baking soda and coconut oil. Perhaps, you might already have them in your kitchen. They will be perfect for treating problematic skin, as opposed to the chemical-filled ones that you can buy.

This powerful mixture offers fantastic effects in the treatments of scars, acne, redness, elimination of excess dirt and oil and exfoliating dead skin off.

The Mixture of Coconut Oil and Baking Soda for the Face
Baking soda can be used as a deodorizing, polishing agent and a deep cleaning product in the household. You can use it instead of all those harming products that you buy. Moreover, you can use it for whitening teeth as well and as a deodorant. Also, you can use it for treating acne. It will regulate the pH of the skin and its amphoteric compound. It will help in healing breakouts as well.

On the other hand, there is the coconut oil. It offers strong healing, moisturizing and antibacterial qualities that will nourish the skin. It is much gentler than baking soda and it will regulate the baking soda’s harsh effect. Thus, this combination is perfect. Just remember that it would be best to use virgin coconut oil.

The Ingredients:
coconut oil
baking soda
The amount that you need to use depends on the skin type. For example, if you have sensitive skin, use the 2:1 ration. Also, if you want it to be an exfoliator, prepare it 1:1.

The Instructions:
Combine these two ingredients and apply on the skin. You can massage it gently with circular motions and then wash it off with warm water. You can also do a face mask and leave it for a couple of minutes. That is it!
